Negative amounts occasionally appear in every sales report. They are the results of returns and chargebacks. If a consumer returns the product to the advertiser or if the advertiser rejects a sale (see sections on reversals in our Publisher Terms), there may be a reversal of commissions.
Some advertisers pay a flat amount for contact information, called a lead, instead of paying a percentage of a sale. Leads can sometimes be reversed as well. This may be due to low-quality traffic, invalid contact information entered into a form, or a lead originating from a non-serviceable region for a particular advertiser.
